Listener rating is dragging ass

I know this is a shameless shill, but can somebody please rate Seduction City on live365? All of a sudden the average has dropped to 9.33 with a meager 6 votes. A few months ago I had 20 votes and the rating was over 9.5. I know that I have more listeners than 6, please get off your duff and vote.

Yes, I'm being greedy, but it's only fair that we all do our part. Ask not what Seduction City can do for you, but what you can do for Seduction City.

See? I worked in a JFK reference--that deserves five stars. Or, if you're set on giving one star, give it to Chillout Beats.

"Sounds of Eternity" by W&D Project

Anybody listening to Seduction City semi-regularly is probably somewhat familiar with the W&D Project, a duo of Russian producer/DJs that specialize in electronica but also have remixed and produced a plethora of chillout tunes. These guys have an hour long mix they put together once a month called "Sounds of Eternity" which is great, and I've added the first episode to the playlist, so give it a listen.

In typical Seduction City fashion, the program does not air at any particular time because we don't have a watch and aren't organized enough to set a schedule. So just listen in and let me know what you think of it. Below is the playlist for the episode...I'm working on getting a link up.

01. Richard Durand feat. Simon Binkenborn – No Way Home (Unplugged Mix)
02. De / Vision – No Tomorrow
03. Craig Armstrong feat. Elizabet – This Love
04. Aerosoul feat. John Ward – Time is By Your Side (Armenian Soul Remix)
05. Technology-Youth – Dreams (Chillout Mix)
06. Blank & Jones – Fallen
07. K. Melody – Night Sky (W & D Chill Out Vocal Mix)
08. Rob Dougan – Nothing At All
09. Rob Dougan – Theres Only Me
10. Vlad Zhukov – Nothing (W & D Chill Out Vocal Mix)
11. Lamb – Gabriel
12. Iris – Island

Your mission, should you choose to accept it...

I was just listening to the Seduction City stream, as I'm wont to do occasionally, and realized that Garbage's World Is Not Enough (chillout version) cuts off about two-thirds of the way through the song. Why didn't anybody tell me?! It's been running that way for over a week, fer crissake.

I love you guys, my listeners. It pains me to think that you were listening to only 2:43 of a song that is 4:06. So because I'm such a magnanimous dude, I'm restoring the missing 1:23 of the song---ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Seriously, if you guys hear anything wrong with the stream...please e-mail me or send a shout-out. I want to make this your absolute favorite station ever! And to do that, I need to be giving you 100% of the songs you love, not 66%. That's a bitch move.

Forever yours,

Q: What makes it on Seduction City?

A: Only the best of the best -- the ELITE.

To wit: The Seduction City archives contain tens of thousands of songs. Of those, about 6% make it to air.

That said, recommendations from listeners have made the list. Also, SC takes requests. Let me know what you want to hear.

Broadcasting live today

Seduction City is broadcasting live from the Vault today. What that means is that there are no commercials, no repeats and every song in the library is fair game, including songs from the 1980s Miami Vice series done by Jan Hammer. I say this because there is one particular listener that has made his/her thoughts known about that "cheesy 80's keyboard stuff," but too bad for them. The beauty of broadcasting from the Vault is that you never know what kinda stuff you're gonna hear. But rest assured, it is still within the established Seduction City guidelines and who knows, there might just be something you've never heard before that sparks you.

Welcome

Seduction City radio is for dreamers.

For lovers. For thinkers. For leaders. For followers. For the disenchanted. For the enchanted. For sisters, brothers, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-and-laws, and father-and-laws. And even Mother-in-laws. If they're nice. I started this station for you. And I need your help... Send me requests. Recommend songs. I thought I knew everything there was to know about this kind of music -- I was so wrong. Since I started Seduction City, my sound library has tripled, thanks to you. It has been mind-blowing. Life altering. And humbling. Because people have reached out to me and recommended things. People who know much more about music than me. And they did it for no selfish reason; they just wanted to make Seduction City better. And it's much better than I ever could've done on my own. Plus it allows me to write in short staccato sentences with a period at the end. Any. Time. I. Want. So join me on this journey. I can't tell you where we'll end up. But trust me, it will be worth it.
